PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for sufficiently cleaning a print head. SOLUTION: A printer (20) has at least one ink applicator (21) and first maintenance tools (56, 58, 60, and 62). When a print medium (29) is in a conveying path (34), the ink applicator is supported at the medium-facing position at which the applicator faces the medium. The first maintenance tools are provided outside the conveying path (34), and when the at least one ink applicator (21) is in the medium-facing position, the tools face the at least one ink applicator.
