The invention concerns therapeutic compositions in the field of angiogenesis, comprising nucleotide sequences of genes whereof the involvement in the mechanism of angiogenesis has been demonstrated including their complementary sequences, their antisense sequences, polypeptide sequences encoded by the encoding parts of said genes as well as antibodies directed against said polypeptide sequences. The invention also concerns genetically modified cells underexpressing or overexpressing said genes, therapeutic compositions containing them, for use in treating angiogenic disorders. The invention further concerns methods for diagnosis and/or prognosis of angiogenic disorders as well as novel methods for screening compounds active in the treatment of said disorders.
