<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging apparatus for easily carrying out the backup of stored data in a plurality of mobile phones. <P>SOLUTION: When a mobile phone 2 is loaded on the charging apparatus 1 when a switch 16 is turned off, a control section 12 reads data from a memory 23 of the mobile phone 2 and once stores the data to a sub memory 14 and thereafter stores the data to a main memory 13 in reference with a telephone number of the mobile phone 2. When the switch 16 is turned on, the data stored in the main memory 13 in reference with the telephone number of the mobile phone 2 are read and transferred to the memory 23 of the mobile phone 2.
