PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic lighting device of a discharge tube preventing starting error and restarting even in instantaneous break. SOLUTION: The electronic lighting device is equipped with a first discrimination means 1 having a charging means 11 starting charge to a capacitor C2 at voltage higher than tube voltage in a lighting device Stt in which filament terminals f1, f2 of a fluorescent lamp L are connected to an AC power source AC through a choke transformer CH, and a semiconductor switching element Q1 is installed between other terminals f1', f2'; and a second discrimination means having a charging means 12 starting charge to a capacitor C2 at voltage higher than the tube voltage and lower than the first discrimination means 1, and switching transistors Q2-Q4 operating based on charging voltage of the charging means 11, 12 are installed, and the transistor switching element Q1 is turned on and off with an AND output of the transistors Q2-Q4 to make flow preheating current. Since preheating current is made to flow after power source voltage is detected, starting error is prevented and restarting is made possible even in instantaneous break.
