PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an external outlet with a plurality of plug slots from being left on the floor to avoid a feeling of disorderliness indoors and to provide for stability of insertion of conductive plug prongs into an existing outlet installed on a wall face or a column face. SOLUTION: The external outlet 10 has a dummy plug prong 13e molded integrally with a casing 13 made of an electrically insulating synthetic resin and having a plurality of plug slots 14. The dummy plug prong 13e can be inserted into a plug slot in an existing outlet. This eliminates the need to leave the external outlet 10 on the floor to avoid a feeling of disorderliness.
