PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten the efficiency of processing sheets. SOLUTION: This sheet processor includes: a buffer unit for aligning the leading edges of two or more supplied sheets in the sheet transport direction and storing the same; a processing tray 129 loaded with the sheets discharged from the buffer unit; and a pair of oscillating rollers 127 and a return roller 130, transporting the sheets stacked on the processing tray and abutting the same on a stopper 131 catching the leading edges of the sheets. The buffer unit is adapted to align the leading edges of only the sheets P1, P2 stored earlier than the last supplied sheet P3 stored therein. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
