PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that the gas-liquid separation effect of refrigerant gas from oil is degraded, and the oil discharge is increased in a hermetic compressor in which the refrigerant gas flow is not sufficiently constrained at a stator and a rotor of some electric motors. SOLUTION: A rotor passage 36 to communicate a rotor upper chamber 33 with a rotor lower chamber 35 is formed in a rotor 3b, and a stator communication passage 72 to communicate an upper portion of the stator with a lower portion thereof is formed in the stator 3a. A segregation wall 73 to segregate the stator or the stator passage 72 formed between the stator and a hermetically sealed container from a stator communication passage 37 is provided on the stator upper portion.
