PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to perform the work for releasing large quantity of ice pieces easily. SOLUTION: A large-sized receiver vessel 40 capable of being loaded on a drain pan 35 arranged in a bottom part of a stage 20 for release is provided. A magnet 46 is buried in a predetermined position on a rear face of the receiver vessel 40, and a detection switch 48 composed of a lead switch sensing and reacting to the magnet 46 is attached to a rear face of an apron panel 21 which forms a front face of the stage 20. When the receiver vessel 40 is loaded on the drain pan 35 and it is detected by the detection switch 48, a shutter 27 provided at a release port 23 is opened for two minutes through a solenoid device 26 so that ice pieces stored in an ice storage vessel 13 are released into the receiver vessel 40 through a shooter 24.
