Ring wrench comprises a wrench body (10) having a ring head (11) at least at one end which is provided on its inner wall with a profile region (12) for clamping a workpiece, and a receiving region (14) located on one side of the profile region for receiving a restoring-element (20) consisting of a ring (21), a spring element (22) and a pressure element (23). The ring head also comprises a smooth region (13) located on the other side of the profile region and having a diameter that is somewhat larger than the diameter of the profile region. The restoring element can press the workpiece into the smooth region when the pressure force on the wrench body diminishes.
