PURPOSE: A device for protecting an oil tank against burglar is provided to prevent the frequent theft of oil by installing the device for protecting an oil tank of vehicles or oil boilers, etc. and also to prevent the unpredictable cold-weather damage to vehicles, human body, farm products or cattle, caused by a sudden oil interruption. CONSTITUTION: The device for protecting an oil tank against burglar includes; a cylindrical body(1); many filtering holes(1a) formed at regular intervals on the main wall of the body(1); many separated gaps(2) arranged at regular intervals on the upper part of the body(1), and having an opening(2a-1) formed by the cut part of the separated gaps(2) and a hanger(2a) hanged on an inner end of the oil tank; a bent part, having a hinge part and a support plate(3b) with a vent; and a cover(5) hinged-installed by an axis pin of the hinge part, having a support plate(5b) with a vent(5b-1) on its other side, and covering the upper end of the body(1); wherein the vent of the bent part and the vent(5b-1) are coincident with each other so as to be locked by a lock.
