PURPOSE: An LCD(liquid crystal display) having flexible substrates is provided to protect circuits formed on flexible substrates and driving chips even when the flexible substrates are mounted in the LCD at a very narrow interval. CONSTITUTION: An LCD includes a plurality of components, an outer housing, a circuit board, at least one flexible substrate(4), a protruded part(13). The components include an LCD panel having a terminal array and a back light unit that is located behind the LCD panel to illuminate the LCD panel. The outer housing covers at least sides of the components. The circuit board is placed on the backside of the back light unit. The flexible substrate has a line pattern on the top and includes a cut-out(10) on at least one side edge. The flexible substrate connects the terminal array to the circuit board. The protruded part is protruded from one of the components to the outer housing via the cut-out.
