PORTABLE RADIO COMMUNICATION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce manufacturing cost and attain thinner making and weight reduction by reducing the number of parts while maintaining satisfactory antenna characteristics without requiring a special part as an antenna.

SOLUTION: In a portable radio communication apparatus in which an upper case 102 and a lower case 103 can be folded via a hinge portion 104, at least one part of at least one of the upper case 102 and the lower case 103 is formed of a conductive material as a case conductor section. The case conductor section is connected to a radio communication circuit 110 of the portable radio communication apparatus, and operates as one part of an antenna of the circuit 110. The case conductor section consists of a conductor layer formed on a dielectric case of at least one of the upper case 102 and the lower case 103.
