<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium to be recorded in which the chromophoric of a dye and water resistance are excellent, and ink absorbing properties and surface strength are excellent, and which can be suitably used for recording by a method for inkjet recording, the medium to be recorded for inkjet recording, a method for inkjet recording using this medium to be recorded, a printed article, and a method for manufacturing the medium to be recorded. <P>SOLUTION: This medium to be recorded comprises a vaterite type crystalline form calcium carbonate/PVA copolymer. In addition, in the medium to be recorded provided with an ink receiving layer comprising a pigment and a binder on a substrate, it comprises the vaterite type crystalline form calcium carbonate/PVA copolymer as a pigment.
