<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional display device constituted so that discrepancies between physiological parameters in stereoscopic vision are suppressed, and also, many people can observe a three-dimensional stereoscopic image at the same time. <P>SOLUTION: The three-dimensional display device is provided with a display device, two partial lenses arranged just in front of observer's both eyes and separately constituting a part of a variable focus lens, a driving device for changing the focal distance of the variable focus lens partly constituted of the two partial lenses by n-steps in time division, provided that (n) denotes an integer of ≥ 2, and a synchronizing device for displaying a plurality of depth sampling images obtained by sampling the object to be displayed in the depth direction on the display device, in synchronism with the n-step change of the focal distance of the variable focus lens. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
