<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device, having an improved constitution for anomaly monitoring abnormality and power supply interruption. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply device is so constituted that power to an operation detecting unit, an abnormality-monitoring unit, and the like is outputted from a standby power supply. The operation detecting unit monitors the operating state of the power circuit. If of an abnormality is detected, the supply of alternating-current power to the power circuit is interrupted, based on the determination of the abnormality-monitoring unit. Or, switching elements, which can respond at high speed and provided in the stage preceding power circuits, are made to selectively operate according to the point of occurrence of the abnormality. According to this constitution, power supply to the individual power circuits can be interrupted individually, and safety can be ensured more firmly. The switching elements provided in the stage preceding the power circuits are formed of elements, such as relay switches and FETs, having high-speed responsiveness.
