<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid giving glare and realize high visibility. <P>SOLUTION: A rotational axis O-O of an illumination means which consists of a reflector 9 and a discharge lamp 10 is sloped to a position B behind a vehicle from a vertical axis V-V, even if an optical axis Z-Z is adjusted in a vertical direction. Thus, in a state where the optical axis Z-Z is adjusted in the vertical direction, even if the illumination means is rotated in lateral pivotal movement around the rotational axis O-O corresponding to a turning condition of the vehicle, because the illumination direction from the illumination means continuously faces the lower side to a horizontal axis F-B, the light from the illumination means is continuously illuminated to the lower side to the horizontal axis F-B. Thus, the glare is not given to a driver of an oncoming vehicle or surrounding walkers. The light from the illumination means is illuminated downward to the horizontal axis F-B, therefore a road relatively near the vehicle can be illuminated, thus realizing high visibility. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
