<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the intermediate sleeve of a printing machine, which works as the plate cylinder or the blanket cylinder of the printing machine by being installed onto a center axis provided in the printing machine and is lightweight and high strength and, at the same time, is equipped with high heat resistance. <P>SOLUTION: Composite material of microballoons 22 and resin 23 is employed as the constitutional material of the intermediate sleeve 20 so as to form the continuous in a peripheral direction of the intermediate sleeve. The intermediate sleeve is integrally formed of the composite material.
