<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mouse that can be used without a need to move a hand away from a keyboard, which is typical of mouse use. <P>SOLUTION: The new type of mouse eliminates a need for a computer user to move a hand away from the keyboard when using the mouse. The mouse can be part of or mounted over the keyboard. The user operates the mouse by spinning and sliding a cylinder on the keyboard with a finger. The cylinder is mounted over the keyboard such that there is no need to stop a typing hand and reach out to use the mouse. The cylinder can be designed near the position of the thumb on the keyboard or between keys of the keyboard within the reach of the index or ring finger.
