<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle security system capable of contributing to improvement of an arrest rate by leaving evidence by which a criminal of vehicle theft can be identified. <P>SOLUTION: When an illegal act for example, the vehicle the criminal aiming at the vehicle theft intrudes into a cabin by an illegal method is performed to and the illegal act is detected by a door opening abnormality detecting sensor 6 or a G sensor 7, a camera photographing device A is operated by an instruction from a control device 3, and an image in the cabin photographed by a miniature camera 1 is stored in an image storage memory 4. When the criminal intrudes into the cabin with an aim of the vehicle theft, the camera image wherein the criminal is photographed can be stored in the image storage memory 4 as the evidence for identifying the criminal. As a result, when the thieved vehicle is found out, it is possible to identify the criminal from the camera image left in the image storage memory 4.
