PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for mounting and removing a sensor which mounts and removes the main bodies of plural kinds of sensors having bottom plates of different external diameters, engages easily with the sensors, generates sufficient transmission torque when the mounting and removing work is done, and hardly falls during the work. SOLUTION: The tool for mounting and removing a sensor is provided with an elastic body having an aperture part at the tip of its pole body, and the bottom plate provided at the lower end of the main body of the sensor firmly mounted on a ceiling via a base part is inserted into the aperture part to mount and remove the main body of the sensor. In this case, a plurality of hitching steps hitching on the bottom plate are provided on the inner circumference of the aperture part, and the hitching steps are provided with hitching steps hitching on the bottom plate having a larger diameter on the front side against the insertion direction to the aperture part, and projecting pressing parts pressing the outer peripheral end surface of the bottom plate are provided at a position opposite to the side face of each of the hitching steps, and projecting engagement parts which engage with the outer circumference side of the bottom plate are provided on the side faces of the hitching steps between the pressing parts, and the outer peripheral end surface of the bottom plate is sandwiched by the pressing parts.
