PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an imaging device small-sized, thin, and lightweight and to facilitate its assembling and handling. SOLUTION: A CCD bare chip 12 which photoelectrically converts light imaged by an imaging lens 4 provided to a holder 2 and outputs an image signal is mounted on a substrate 1. The holder 2 is provided with the imaging lens 4 and its exterior is a package 2A has stop effect of cutting off peripheral light beams and cuts off external light. Further, the package 2A has a circular hole 3 for making light from a subject incident on the imaging lens 4. Thus, the holder 2 is mounted on such a substrate 1 to constitute the imaging device.
