摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coupling lens that reduces mode dispersion of connection between a laser diode and a multi-mode optical fiber without lowering optical coupling efficiency. SOLUTION: The coupling lens used for optical coupling between a light emitting element and an optical fiber includes a plurality of converging lens elements which are arranged concentrically around the optical axis of the coupling lens to converge output light from the light emitting element on the core area of the optical fiber, and each of the plurality of converging lens elements diffuses the output light of the light emitting element to the core area of the optical fiber while superposing a portion of converged light.
