<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric actuator which reduces a capacitance between electrodes, reduces costs for electrode materials, normally stably carries out ink discharge by preventing an electric field leakage, and can reduce generation of deflection and waving as a whole. <P>SOLUTION: Electrode layers arranged in a laminating direction are made discrete electrodes 24 and first common electrodes 25a alternately in the laminating direction. The discrete electrodes 24 are positioned correspondingly for each pressure chamber 16 to selectively impress a voltage, and the first common electrodes 25a are positioned correspondingly for each of the pressure chambers 16 to be connected to a common potential. The electrode layers of either or both of the highest and lowest layers are made second common electrodes 25b shaped wide astride a plurality of the pressure chambers 16 to be connected to the common potential. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
