<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus whose operation in instructing interrupt is simplified. <P>SOLUTION: When an interrupt key 474 already provided at a copying machine 1 is depressed, normal interrupt processing for performing interrupt processing after the completion of a job is performed. When the interrupt key 474 and a registration key are simultaneously depressed, forced interrupt processing for performing the interrupt processing regardless of the completion of the job in the middle of processing is performed.
