<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visual telephone equipment with an automatic answering and recording function, which prevents image information being received at present from being lost while holding already recorded image information even in the case that the residual capacity of an image storage memory incorporated in a visual telephone is small. <P>SOLUTION: The visual telephone equipment with an automatic answering and recording function, which has the image storage memory accessible at random, is provided with; a storage residual capacity detection means which counts an unrecorded part in a storage medium and discriminates whether the data volume in the unrecorded part is made smaller than a preliminarily determined set value or not; a storage processing time measuring means which measures the elapsed time of storage processing from the start to the end of storage when storing data by an image storage means; and an image processing mode changing means which changes a storage processing mode so as to process data with a low image quality in the case that the data volume in the unrecorded part counted by the storage residual capacity detection means is made smaller than the set value and the elapsed time measured by the storage processing time measuring means exceeds a set value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
