<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device which is adapted to print with automatically selecting paper sheets optimum to printing data which has no separation of pages. <P>SOLUTION: The printing device 1 consists of a printing data receiving part 3, a printing data amount calculating part 4, a paper size detecting part 6, a memory part 7, a paper size selecting part 9, a printing data forming part 10, and a printing part 11. The optimum paper sheet is selected at the paper size selecting part 9 based on a printing data amount of the printing data without separation of pages, paper size data of detected sizes of a preliminarily set plurality of paper sheets, and optimum printing information data for every preliminarily stored paper size.
