<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form, under simple control, a full-color image of satisfactory image quality in which uneven print density, a mixture of the colors of developers of different hues, etc., are prevented. <P>SOLUTION: The development apparatus is provided with a traveling-wave electrode sheet 101 which conveys developer and a dielectric belt 102 which covers the traveling-wave electrode sheet 101 and rotates at a low speed. Then, developer supply sections 103Y, 103M, 103C, and 103B for the corresponding hues and developer recovery sections 104Y, 104M, 104C, and 104B for the corresponding hues are arranged on the periphery of the dielectric belt 102. Thus, each of the developer supply sections and each of the developer recovery sections can be moved forward/backward against the dielectric belt 102, and the forward/backward movement of the developer supply sections 103Y to 103B and the developer recovery sections 104Y to 104B when the contents of a print request is monochrome and the requested number of prints is single is made different from that when the requested number of prints is plural. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
