PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transgenic mammal useful for elucidation on a gene, a method for preparing the same and a method for elucidating the genetic function using the mammal.

SOLUTION: The transgenic mammal comprises a transposon sequence and/or a transposase gene. A method for preparing the same is provided and a method for elucidating the genetic function uses the mammal.
