<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular lamp for obtaining high irradiation efficiency even though the vertical thickness is reduced with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicular lamp 10 is characterised by being constituted so that it includes a light source 11, a first reflecting surface 12 in which the light source 11 is positioned at a first focal point, a second focal point is away from a light axis of the light source 11 by a prescribed distance and its long axis is inclined backward to the light axis and a plurality of rotation elliptic surfaces are radially arranged other than the upper section around the light axis within a prescribed radial angle range on a second focal point position side when looked at from the front of the light axis, a second reflecting surface 13 arranged so that its center axis is parallel with the light axis and its focal point position is positioned at a second focal point position of the first reflecting surface against each first reflecting surface, respectively, and a third reflecting surface 14 with a rotation surface shape of a free curved-surface in which the light source 11 is positioned nearby its focal point position so as to reflect the light from the light source 11 forward into the upper side area of the light source 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
