<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attachment which allows a long object housing member to be provided easily with a functional part which can exhibit a function concerned with the laying of a long object within the long object housing member or the laying of the long object housing member itself, and to provide a long object housing device which is equipped with the same attachment. <P>SOLUTION: The long object housing member 11 comprises a trough 12 and a saddle 13. The trough 12 is constituted by setting a base body 14 and a cover body 15 together. A base outer rib 14a is made at the base body 14. An engaging part 20 is made at the main body 16 of the rest which constitutes the saddle 13, and the body 16 of the attachment is secured to the base body 14 by engaging the engaging part 20 with the inside of the base outer rib 14a.
