<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheath remover for a plastic optical fiber cord that is easy in removing a sheath without repeating removal works a plurality of times even if the length of the sheath to be removed is several dozen to several hundred millimeters, can suppress variation in every work and every worker, and can remove the sheath at the middle of the cord, too, in the sheath removal of the plastic optical fiber cord. <P>SOLUTION: The sheath remover 10 for the plastic optical fiber cord comprises a fixing part 11 that fixes the plastic optical fiber cord 1, and a cutting blade 23 that cuts into the sheath of the plastic optical fiber cord 1 fixed to the fixing part 11.
