<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for connecting a longitudinal handrail afterward to a lateral handrail fitted to the wall surface by a fixing member. <P>SOLUTION: Two-split half cylindrical bodies 1a, 1b are abutted to the lateral handrail B fitted to the wall surface A by the fixing member C in the opposite outer peripheral directions to hold the lateral handrail B. When both cylindrical bodies 1a, 1b are held together, one of them is provided with a holding cylinder 1c in which one end of the longitudinal handrail D is fitted. The longitudinal handrail D can be connected to the lateral handrail B fitted to the wall surface A very simply afterward so as to remarkably improve the workability of post-fitting work for the longitudinal handrail D. One of the two-split half cylindrical bodies 1a, 1b is provided with a longitudinal groove 2, and the other is provided with a projecting part 3 slid to be fitted in the groove 4, whereby two half cylindrical bodies 1a, 1b are held together to very easily form one connector only by sliding one half cylindrical body 1a or 1b to the other cylindrical body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
