PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively achieve data conversion without reseparation/remultiplexing the moving image data and the audio data. SOLUTION: An MPEG2 compression processing circuit 27 records the attached information (FF_PCK) having the same data size as that of NV_PCK being regenerated auxiliary information referred upon regenerating a dynamic image in a DVD-Video format or having a larger data size than the NV_PCK at the head of a VOBU of a region on which NV_PCK is recorded. The FF_PCK is replaced by the NV_PCK when the MPEG2 data is converted to DVD-Video data. There is thus eliminated the need of redividing/remultiplexing the dynamic image data and the voice data to ensure effective data conversion. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
