PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystal resonator having a surface mounting seat which can be used in common. SOLUTION: In the crystal resonator consisting of a metallic base having a pair of airtight terminals which hold quartz crystal pieces and are electrically connected and the mounting seat provided on the bottom surface of the metal base and having grooves wherein a pair of through holes through which the airtight terminals penetrate and lead wire communicating with the through holes are provided, the grooves communicating with the through holes are provided in width and length directions so that the airtight terminals can be bent and provided in a length or width direction as necessary.
