PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a disc spring from being eccentric at the time of tightening a bearing press. SOLUTION: The steering gear device has a gear housing 7 storing a steering gear consisting of a pinion gear 41 and a rack gear 31, a cylinder part 71 formed on the side (back surface side) 33 opposite to the side provided with the rack gear 31 of a rack shaft 3 which is a part of the gear housing 7 and has the rack gear 31, a rack guide seat 8 which supports the back surface side 33 of the rack shaft 3 so that the rack shaft 3 can move slidably, and a rack guide 2 supporting the rack guide seat 8. Furthermore, the device consists of a main spring 6 pushing these rack guide 2 and the rack guide seat 8 to the rack shaft 3 side, a spring press 5 which supports the main spring 6 and receives the spring reaction force of the main spring 6, and the disc spring 1 provided between the end surface 21 opposite side to the rack shaft side of the rack guide 2 and the spring press 5.
