PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a liquid chromatograph mass spectrometry apparatus for rapidly detecting without a bad influence on separation ability of a plurality of separation columns and detection sensitivity of the mass spectrometry apparatus. SOLUTION: A sample is continuously supplied to the separation column 5. A component transmitted from the separation column 5 to an ultraviolet visible detector 6 is supplied to and maintained in a trap column 8. An eluate 12 is supplied to a trap column 9 by a pump 11. After the eluate is discarded to a bottle 14 through a valve 13 during only a regular period at initial supply, the component maintained by the column 9 is supplied to the mass spectrometry apparatus 16 through a high speed separation column 15. After the regular period, a flow path of a cross valve 7 is switched, the sample from the separation column 5 is supplied to the column 9, and the eluate 12 is supplied to the column 8. The eluate is discarded to the bottle 14 through the valve 13 during only the regular period at the initial supply and the component maintained by the column 8 is supplied to the mass spectrometry apparatus 16 through the high speed separation column 15.
