PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and easily hold column base fixing hardware 20 fixed to a column base, to a foundation form, embedding the lower part in a concrete foundation 57 without interposing a sill at the upper part. SOLUTION: The column base fixing hardware 20 has an approximately T-shaped cross section comprising a flange 6 and a reinforcing rib 7 (b). A holding device 50 comprises a holder 32, a receiver 43 and a bracing implement 47 (a). The holder 32 comprises a body 22 of a T-shaped cross section and a grip 26 capable of holding the column base fixing hardware 20 in close contact. The holder 32 mounted with the column base fixing hardware 20 is arranged in the lengthwise direction of a form 53 and placed on the upper end of the receiver 43 laid at the form 53. A V-shaped cutout is formed at the upper end of the receiver 43, and the column base fixing hardware 20 is swingingly supported in a hanging state. The reinforcing rib 7 is fittingly inserted in a fitting insertion cutout 46 of the bracing implement 47 laid between the forms 53, to regulate the swing of the column base fixing hardware 20.
