PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof material which has unprecedented workability, and wherein a waterproof function, a heat insulating function, a dew proofing function, etc., are formed. SOLUTION: This roof material A comprises a first waterproof piece 13 formed by protruding the upstream-side leading end of decorative facing 4 upward, a fitting piece 13a formed by protruding a leading end of the waterproof piece 13 to the upstream side, a second waterproof piece 13b formed by protruding the leading end of the waterproof piece 13 upward on a downstream side, a fixing piece 15 protruding the leading end of the decorative facing 4 to the upstream side, the deepest piece 8 formed by protruding the vicinity of the downstream-side leading end of the decorative facing 4 downward, an insertion piece 9 formed by protruding a leading end of the deepest piece 8 to the downstream side, and an engaging groove 10 composed of the decorative facing 4, the deepest piece 8 and the insertion piece 9; and a height from the fitting piece 13 to the waterproof piece 13b is greater than the opening height of the engaging groove 10.
