PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid radiation-hardening resin composition for producing a hardened matter low in viscosity, water absorption, Young's modulus, Tg, and low in Young's modulus ratio between -40°C and 25°C, to obtain an optical fiber coating composition from the resin composition, and to provide an optical fiber coated with the hardened matter. SOLUTION: The radiation-hardening liquid resin composition comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of a urethane (meth)acrylate oligomer having in its molecule the skeleton of formula (1): -[CH<SB>2</SB>CH(CH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>3</SB>)O]<SB>a</SB>-(CH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>O)<SB>b</SB>-[CH<SB>2</SB>CH(CH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>3</SB>)O]<SB>c</SB>- and/or the skeleton of formula (2): -(CH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>O)<SB>d</SB>-[CH<SB>2</SB>CH(CH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>3</SB>)O]<SB>e</SB>-(CH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>O)<SB>f</SB>-, wherein (a), (c), (d), and (f) are each an integer of 10-40, (b) is an integer of 10-60, and (e) is an integer of 10-80; (B) 5-200 pts.wt. of an ethylenic unsaturated compound; and (C) 0-20 pts.wt. of a photoinitiator.
