PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deoxidation equipment and a deoxidation method which can be reduced in equipment cost and running cost without complicating and enlarging equipment and can effectively reduce dissolved oxygen concentration in a water to be treated. SOLUTION: The deoxidation equipment and the deoxidation method have an aeration type mixing column 1 which injects raw water into the column in an inert gas atmosphere to reduce the dissolved oxygen concentration in the raw water.
