PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assignment device capable of specifying an activated section and finding the temporal variation in the section by the event-related design, and a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus equipped with the assignment device. SOLUTION: The assignment device comprises an assignment feeding means 111 for feeding an assignment to a subject 31 and a control means 161 for feeding the assignment by the event-related design to the assignment feeding means a predetermined number of times at predetermined intervals after a predetermined idle period.
