An optical glass comprises (wt.%): SiO 2(35-75); Al 2O 3(17-35); B 2O 3(0-5); P 2O 5(1-17); SnO 2+ ZrO 2(0.1-8); Na 2O + K 2O + Cs 2O (0.1-8); CaO + MgO + SrO + BaO + ZnO (0.1-8); a clarifying agent, e.g. SB 2O 3, As 2O 3, SnO 2, CeI 2, sulfate or halogen compounds (= 2); coloring oxide, e.g. V 2O 5, Cr 2O 3, MnO, Fe 2O 3, CoO, NiO and other impurities (=2). Independent claims are included for the following: (1) an optical transmission component, especially a lens, prism, or window, of maximum thickness at least 100 mm containing the optical glass; (2) a test optical system, especially for aspherical mirrors, or a segment with an optical transmission component.
