摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress or prevent the tendency of locking of either of front or rear wheel when an engine brake torque acts thereon in a battery-less motor four-wheel drive vehicle driving the front wheels by an engine and the rear wheels by motors. <P>SOLUTION: When the friction state of a road surface is low and the engine brake torque acts, the engine brake torque Tbe is obtained and distributed to the front and rear wheels according to an ideal brake torque distribution to set a target front wheel brake torque Tbf* and a target motor regenerative brake torque Tbm* as a target rear wheel brake torque. A target throttle opening Acc2* and a target motor field current Ifm to achieve these targets are outputted to lower the engine brake torque so as to near the brake torques of the front and rear wheels to the ideal brake torque distribution.
