<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect evaluation on lent books in large quantity. <P>SOLUTION: By using a terminal for lending/returning installed in a library to read a bar code attached on a vote lending and returning sheet, books are lent out/returned with a computer system. When a user borrows a book, he inputs any borrowing purpose of "voluntary-lesson", "voluntary-recreation", "recommended-lesson", "recommended-recreation", or "for some reason" which are represented on the vote lending and returning sheet, and then the user inputs the bar code of his user card and a book bar code in sequence. In addition, when a user returns a borrowed book, he inputs any evaluation of "recommendable", "fair" or "disappointed", and then he inputs the book bar code.
