<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-expansibility and flexible stent having superior retention of the blood vessel diameter retaining an opened state of the lumen diameter, having superior following characteristic to the lumen (therefore, capable of passing three-dimensionally meandered lumen), substantially causing no shortening, and allowing the formation of a lateral hole therein. <P>SOLUTION: This stent is a tubular member having an annular member 1 extendable radially for retaining the opened state of the organism lumen and a connecting element 2 longitudinally connecting the adjoining annular members 1 together.
