PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image of high image quality by preventing the unevenness of medium contrast, roughness and the lost details of characters and images. SOLUTION: The developer is prepared by using sieves superposed with a mesh of sieve opening 250μm, a mesh of sieve opening 150μm, and a mesh of sieve opening 75μm in this order and placing 20 g developer on the uppermost stage thereof. The total of the residual amount of the developer on the respective meshes after sieving for 30 seconds at a frequency 50 Hz and amplitude 0.6 mm P-P is specified to≥5g.
