PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily distinguish a photographed image from an image that has been separately registered as a favorite image. SOLUTION: In response to a photographing manipulation, a data folder resulting from performing a photographing action and/or sound recording action is produced and stored in a first recording area within a memory card 90. In response to a predetermined operation, an album file based on the data file stored in the first recording area is produced and the relevant album file is stored in a second recording area within the memory card 90. The second recording area is created within the memory card 90 while being linked with loading of the memory card 90 into the digital camera 1, a formatting operation of the memory card 90 or the predetermined manipulation.
