PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regenerating a denitration catalyst capable of keeping abrasion-resistant strength at least before washing even when the catalytic capacity of the exhaust gas denitration catalyst used is restored by washing the catalyst. SOLUTION: In this method for regenerating the denitration catalyst constituted so as to wash the exhaust gas denitration catalyst used containing at least titanium oxide using water, an acid or an alkali solution, the denitration catalyst after washing is impregnated with an aluminum sulfate solution or a mixed solution of vanadyl sulfate and aluminum sulfate.
