PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat display device with improved reliability, having an acceleration electrode, for which a heat radiation path for a heat accumulated on a phosphor is taken into consideration. SOLUTION: The flat display device in which a display base plate is composed of at least a translucent base plate; a metal sheet on which many fine holes, forming a light emission area applied as pixels in which, the phosphor is filled, are formed; and a metal back serving as an acceleration electrode formed on the metal sheet and electrically connected thereto; arranged in this sequence from a light emission side. A conductive wiring having a plurality of opening parts is integrally formed at a neighboring area of the translucent base plate side hole parts of the fine holes, is characterised in that the translucent base plate side of the conductive wiring is colored almost in black, a conductive blackening treatment is applied to the inner wall surface of the fine holes and to the inside of the fine holes of the conductive wiring, and accordingly, they are almost blackened, and the phosphor is filled in the fine holes while contacting with the inner walls of the fine holes, the conductive wiring, and the metal back.
