PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device such that a light source lamp can be fitted to a support base at a uniform and given height even if sockets at both ends of the light source lamp are twisted or slanted. SOLUTION: A support surface, supporting at least one of a couple of sockets at both ends of the light source lamp, of the support base to which the couple of sockets are fitted is arcuate having its center in the center of the light source lamp while being circumscribed with the socket.
